Problem Note 58536: A Microsoft 4.0 .NET defect might cause problems with attachments emailed using Sent to Email Recipient as a Step in Project

DetailsAboutRate It

A Microsoft 4.0 .NET Framework defect might cause encoding problems with attachments emailed by using the Send to Email Recipient as a Step in Project task in SAS® Enterprise Guide®. Attachments might be sent within the email instead of as an attachment.

Typically, this issue occurs when Lotus Notes is the email client.

A SAS Enterprise Guide configuration option can be used to work around this Microsoft defect. To use the workaround, follow these steps:

  1. Apply the most recent SAS Enterprise Guide hot fix.
  2. Add the following content to the seguide.exe.config file located in the SAS Enterprise Guide installation directory.
  3.   <appSettings>
        <add key="SmtpAttachmentTransferEncoding" value="QuotedPrintable" />
      </appSettings>
